Overview

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join a leading manufacturing company based in Oldbury. The role focuses on production and facility operations, maintaining and optimising machinery and equipment to support efficient and safe operations.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair production machines and facility equipment.
  • Lead and delegate tasks to maintenance personnel.
  • Record and report KPIs (OEE, PPM, unplanned maintenance) to the Senior Supervisor.
  • Engage suppliers and raise purchase orders.
  • Report planned activities and potential production impacts at meetings.
  • Maintain electronic maintenance records and comply with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
  • Ensure safe, clean, and organized work areas (5S standards).
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Read equipment manuals, diagnose issues, replace or repair parts, and test equipment.
  • Detect and report faulty operations or defective materials.
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Risk WOse, and Field View.
  • Ability to perform all essential duties effectively.
Advantageous Qualifications
  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations).
  • NVQ, ONC, or HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
Work Environment
  • Large facility with excellent working conditions
  • Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
  • Friday: 07:30 - 13:00
Pay Rate
  • PAYE: £20.00 per hour
