A local government authority in Tees Valley is seeking a Maintenance Surveyor to manage repairs and maintain housing assets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent IT skills and experience in surveying. The role of the Maintenance Surveyor is critical to maintaining and upgrading the Councils Housing stock, you will be required to investigate, assess and record the materials, age and condition of Council housing assets, ensuring you collect and record information accurately, assisting with investment plans, capital programmes and net zero carbon strategy.
The post holder will be required to deliver a comprehensive, good quality responsive repairs and maintenance surveying service.
To be responsible for a full range of technical surveying duties including surveying, specifying and managing repair works.
To work with other members within the Housing Asset Management team, to ensure contractors provide a quality and cost effective service.
You must be confident with the use of IT and capable of navigating through MS Office, Outlook and have knowledge and skills in the use of databases and autocad.
You must be confident to work independently although support from the broader team is always available. We require dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking people to join our team, it is preferable that you have some experience of working in a person-centred environment or with older and more vulnerable client groups although full induction and ongoing training is provided.
