Job summary

A leading service provider in the East Midlands is seeking a Maintenance Joiner to deliver high-quality joinery maintenance for a health care contract. You will work independently, interpreting instructions and using various tools to complete internal and external projects safely. The ideal candidate has a City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry/Joinery and proven experience in maintenance joinery. Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation is crucial, and a valid Construction Skills Card is required.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Craft Certificate / NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or Joinery required.
• Proven experience in a maintenance joinery role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation essential.
• COSHH awareness is desirable.
• Must have a valid Construction Skills Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality internal and external joinery maintenance.
• Interpret and work from instructions, drawings, and specifications without supervision.
• Set out and complete new works using appropriate tools and materials.
• Machine timber and fabricate new joinery.
• Undertake key cutting and repairs to ironmongery.
• Work at height using scaffolding where required.

Job description

We are partnered with a leading service provider who is one of the world’s leading FM, project development and construction groups. They have gained a great reputation through the FM sector and is now looking for a joiner to work on a health care contract for them.

The Role

As a Maintenance Joiner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality internal and external joinery maintenance and small works , ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from instructions, drawings, and specifications without supervision
• Set out and completely new works using appropriate tools and materials
• Machine timber and fabricate new joinery
• Carry out repairs to ironmongery, door furniture, blinds, and glazing
• Undertake key cutting
• Cut and construct metal framing systems
• Work at height using scaffolding where required
• Complete small works projects independently
• Participate in an ad-hoc on-call rota for emergency works
