Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking a Poole-based Maintenance Engineer to join the engineering team. The role focuses on reducing downtime, proactive maintenance, and continuous improvement in a busy production environment.

You will work Monday to Friday with overtime and occasional weekend work; the benefits package includes a 50k-52k salary plus a bonus, pension, generous holiday entitlement and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Formal Engineering Qualification (C&G Level 3 / NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship)
• Continous improvement knowledge
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production environments

Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns to minimise downtime and improve long-term reliability
• Assist in executing maintenance plan (preventative and reactive)
• Use root cause analysis tools and 5S
• Support a culture of continuous improvement to engineer out persistent problems
• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Record all maintenance tasks on electronic reporting system

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and due to growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
• Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
• Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
• Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
