Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its Engineering team. The role focuses on reducing downtime, carrying out planned maintenance and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

You will respond to machine breakdowns, execute preventive maintenance plans, and record tasks on an electronic reporting system, with 23-shift holiday benefits and onsite facilities included.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
• Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments.

Responsibilities

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products that's quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and due to growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
• Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
• Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
• Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
• Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
• Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Continuous improvement knowledge
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
• Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments
