Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for a site in Dorchester, Dorset. The role focuses on planned maintenance, improvements and ensuring plant reliability across a range of equipment including valves and pumps.

You will review parts used, perform safety checks, monitor plant conditions, generate SOPs and risk assessments, and support continuous improvement projects within a food-manufacturing environment. Salary £50,000–£52,000, Monday–Friday, with pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
• Continuous improvement knowledge
• Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
• Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Planned Maintenance inspections, review parts used
• Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules, carry out safety checks on range of equipment
• Monitor plant conditions, report defects, repair of machinery
• Generate and maintain compliance to SOP's, risk assessments
• Report on plant performance using systems, ensure action on non-conformance issues
• Working on a range of valves & Pumps
• Supporting production & continuous improvement projects

With a strong order book and over 9mill of investment going into the factory & growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities
