Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a full-time, permanent role in Daventry, Northamptonshire. The position involves diagnosing faults and performing electrical and mechanical repairs on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years’ experience in a similar manufacturing environment, recognised engineering qualifications, and a multi-skilled bias with strong fault-finding abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role (manufacturing, food production, cold storage, or similar).
• Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Multi-skilled with either an electrical or mechanical bias.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out electrical & mechanical repairs on production equipment.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to reduce downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Ensure strict adherence to health & safety procedures.
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager and wider team to maintain smooth plant operations.

Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 (OTE £48,000 - £50,000)

Location: Daventry, Northampton

Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30 - 17:30 + overtime paid at 1.5x
