Maintenance Engineer

• Location: Melton Mowbray
• Salary: £54,700 + Profit Related Pay Bonuses
• Shift: 4 on 4 off Nights

ATA Recruitment is working with one of the largest manufacturers in the nation to find a motivated and driven maintenance engineer. The company has a rich 125-year family-led history and operates across 18 sites nationwide. With a turnover of over £1.2bn, the business offers a secure environment with opportunities for growth. The maintenance engineer will join a team of 16 experienced engineers, maintaining and expanding the site. The role offers excellent benefits, progression opportunities, and a dynamic team-focused atmosphere.

About the role

The maintenance engineer will maintain electrical components such as sensors, e-stops, motors, relays, and mechanical components including belts, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics.

Key responsibilities

1. React to breakdowns
2. Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance
3. Fault finding in electrical and mechanical systems
4. Basic PLC fault finding
5. Replace and repair electrical components
6. Replace mechanical components

Candidate requirements

• Team player
• Ability to fault find electrically and mechanically
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work night shifts
• Recognised engineer qualification (Level 3 or above), such as City and Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HND, or HNC
