Job Purpose

To ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of all electrical systems within the company's buildings as part of the building maintenance team.

Job Summary

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across company facilities. The role involves both planned and reactive maintenance to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and HVAC controls.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults promptly to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance engineers, contractors, and facility teams to ensure smooth operation of building systems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all documentation is kept up to date.
  • Assist with general building maintenance and support multidisciplinary maintenance activities when required.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of electrical tools, parts, and consumables.
  • Conduct calibration and testing of electrical instruments and equipment as part of maintenance duties.
  • Ensure all works comply with current health and safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
  • Install new electrical systems or upgrade existing installations to meet modern standards and improve energy efficiency.
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives such as LED lighting upgrades and power optimisation.
  • Oversee and coordinate work carried out by specialist contractors.
Qualifications and Skills
