Job description

Join a dynamic and professional team dedicated to ensuring the upkeep and safety of properties. We are seeking a Maintenance Assistant to provide top-quality maintenance services, ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently and effectively while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • To carry out any maintenance requests outstanding and new requests generated during your shift.
  • To assist in carrying out the planned Maintenance schedule in the hotels bedrooms.
  • To assist in carrying out any tiling /repair work.
  • To assist in carrying out painting and other decorative works in guest rooms and public areas.
  • To assist in repairing minor defects in the bedrooms in the allotted time for each visit and public area repairs.
  • To report major defects that requires further works to be carried out by relevant engineer.
  • To check daily corridor lighting and report to maintenance co-ordinator.
  • To maintain accurate reports of all defects found in rooms and to highlight common occurrences.
  • To assist in completing rooms in the time allocated to ensure that all room are made available for sale.
  • To attend any training sessions as required.
  • To be fully conversant with the hotel fire and emergency procedures.
  • To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
  • To be punctual for start each shift and leave enough time so a hand over can be carried out discussing any previous problems.
  • Complete all the required log sheets at the end of each shift.
  • To assist others with maintaining of drainage systems, any new plumbing installations.
  • To assist others when help is needed.
  • To carry out any general maintenance when required within the hotel.
  • To be flexible and to cover shift changes due to holidays or sickness.
  • Assist Team Co-ordinator with ordering stock items as and when required.
  • Ensure safety and security at all times when working in bedrooms.
  • Take pride in your personal appearance at all times and remember that you leave the room free of any debris that you have created.
  • To comply with any reasonable instructions issued by management.
