Overview

Pentland Primary School is seeking a Mainscale Teacher (Year 6). This fixed term post runs until 31 August 2026 (in the first instance). Salary: M2 to M6 - £34,823 to £45,352.

Role and responsibilities

Pentland Primary School are looking to recruit a full-time teacher to join our wonderful primary school. Fixed term until 31st August 2026, in the first instance. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the duties of a teacher in accordance with the Teachers Pay and Conditions Document and other relevant statutory provisions, and to carry out other such associated duties as are reasonably assigned by the Head teacher.

The successful candidate will be teaching in Year 6 so experience in this year group would be an advantage.

  • Responsibility for the teaching and learning of the children within Year 6.
  • Responsibility for assessment and support plans for the children within your class.
  • Communication with the parents.
  • Coordinating of support staff and working collaboratively with the team.
  • All duties and responsibilities as set out in the Teacher Standards.
