Job description

Overview

In 2020, Swansea Bay University Health Board established the MR Physics Group. The successful candidate will become a part of this dynamic and friendly MR Physics team, providing scientific support to sites across Wales. The successful candidate will be well-supported to develop in their career. You will play a key role in the group's mission of developing a centre of excellence for clinical-scientific MRI service provision and research.

The successful candidate will be a band 7 physicist to join our team. Within Radiation Physics, we are part of a large Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering department and we have excellent links with Swansea University, which is the academic centre for medical physics STP trainees from all across Wales. We provide MR physics services to sites across Wales, including to the Institute of Life Science in Swansea University, supporting a mix of GE and Siemens scanners.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Role Details

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of MR safety matters and a good knowledge of the range of clinical MRI techniques.
