Job summary

A well-known Fabrication & Welding company is seeking a Machine Shop Operative in Wem. Candidates must have experience with manual milling and lathes, and be able to read engineering drawings. This Temp to Perm position offers £14.44 per hour, overtime, and 29 days holiday. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30-4:30, with a finish of 12:30 on Fridays.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, interpret and work to engineering drawings with minimal supervision
  • Have experience operating manual drills, milling machines and manual lathes
  • Be comfortable working on one off pieces and other small batch work
  • Be able to use measuring equipment
