Job description

We are seeking a MA/SVQ Assessor/IV Health & Social Care to be based at our Thurso, Dornoch or Alness campuses.

With 19 campuses and centres across the North and West Highlands, Skye, and Outer Hebrides, we cover a geographic area larger than Wales, comprising 40% of Scotland’s coastline. Our campuses and centres are located within historic towns and villages, set amongst the shorelines, mountains, and moors, with local staff working across our region to support our students and communities.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for achieving the recruitment, retention and outcome targets of candidates on work‑based SVQ Care programmes, liaising with candidates, employers and various College staff/departments to ensure an excellent candidate experience and compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting programme evaluation, enhancement and continuing personal development.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

The suitable candidate will hold a relevant qualification in the subject area – at minimum SVQ Level 3 but ideally at Level 4 (SCQF Level 8) or have comparable knowledge and experience in the care sector and will ideally hold a valid workplace assessing or verifying qualification, although training can be given.

A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.
