Vacancy for Lunchtime Supervisor
Start date: January 2026
Contract details: Permanent

Hours per Week: 6.25 hours per week (Monday – Friday 11.45am – 1.00pm)

Contract Type: Term time only 39 weeks

Salary: Grade 2, SCP 3 £24,796 FTE which is £3,615 to £3,697 pro rata

About Rufford Primary School

We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising of six secondary schools and one primary school with over 750 employees and over 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands.

We are seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will initially be placed in our SEND Base, with the flexibility and willingness to work across the school. Our SEND Base has 12 places, with the main area of need being communication, interaction, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). All children in our SEND Base have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and are placed by the local authority SEND team. At Rufford, we are dedicated to ensuring all our children feel a sense of belonging at school. We prioritise inclusion in all aspects of school life and we are determined to support vulnerable children and help them to succeed in their education. You will need to be:

Patient and caring and have the ability to assist with developing a child’s independence in choosing and eating their lunch. You will be required to supervise the children during their play and assist in developing their imagination and friendship groups, whilst supervising their safety.
