We are seeking a bright, motivated, hardworking, self-starting Logistics Specialist to join our Data Centers in the Greater Western London area.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Safety & Operational Excellence.

This position involves manual tasks such as assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for shipment of merchandise and materials. It requires frequent lifting of materials (up to 18 kgs) and coordination of daily deliveries and collections to and from multiple locations. The Logistics Specialist will keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company locations and will unpack incoming shipments to verify contents.

They should understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, maintain high quality, and be willing to travel up to 50% to support other locations within the region (within 30 miles of London Heathrow Airport). Future opportunities for international travel may arise.

Responsibilities
  • Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to ensure proper stock levels across locations to support build and repair activities.
  • Work with the Logistics Manager to optimize the flow of parts through their lifecycle; track inventory location, movement, age, and turns.
  • Collaborate with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase new parts and interface with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements.
  • Perform data entry and respond to questions from peer organizations.
  • Maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and create reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required.
  • Assemble, address, stamp and arrange for shipment of merchandise and materials.
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups to and from production locations.
  • Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company locations.
Safety & Physical Requirements
  • Understand all aspects of production, adhere to strict safety standards, and maintain high quality.
  • Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations).
  • Handling incoming shipments, unpack boxes, and verify contents.
Basic Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance, stock control functions and reverse logistics.
  • Valid driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a complex logistics setup; experience in a Data Centre environment is a plus.
  • Experience with Inventory Management Systems and tools.
  • Good knowledge of IT and network equipment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to multiple sites to support business requirements within 30 miles of London Heathrow Airport.
