Job Overview

An established and growing manufacturing company is seeking a highly organised and experienced Logistics Executive to join its dynamic supply chain team. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the timely, cost‑effective, and compliant delivery of inbound and outbound goods, while driving continuous improvement across logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage logistics capacity to support factory operations, warehousing, and outbound distribution.
  • Liaise with third‑party logistics providers to ensure optimal service at the best value.
  • Coordinate outbound deliveries (including groupage, full loads, and collections), ensuring accurate consignment preparation and efficient routing.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance with UK regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clear and complete customs instructions (e.g. HS Codes, CPC, Importer/Exporter of Record, VAT/duty allocations).
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks by implementing process improvements.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly operational meetings, offering insight and reporting on logistics performance.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient material flow.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement and professional collaboration within the logistics function.
Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs processes and required documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
