With immediate effect we are seeking to recruit a Locum Consultant Paediatrician to be part of a dynamic acute paediatric team for a period of 3 months.

The successful applicant will join a team of hospital based paediatricians who deliver a range of children’s services with separate Paediatric and Neonatal rotas at consultant and trainee level.

We are looking to appoint a motivated colleague to join a team of 8 enthusiastic and forward thinking General Consultant Paediatricians. The Paediatric Directorate has 24 consultants of whom 8 are acute, 6 community, 8 neonatal, and 1 paediatric audio vestibular consultant.

The post is intended to be full time on 8 PAs with full on call commitment.

Requirementfor1 in8on-callcommitmentforacutepaediatricadmissionswithresponsibility foron-goingcareinarotationalworkingsystemwhichincludeswardresponsibilitiesintheweekfollowingtheoncallweekend.

DevelopingworkingpatternsinpartnershipwithConsultantcolleaguessinCommunityPaediatrics,andwithSocialServicesandEducationcolleaguestoensurethatthechildhealthneedsarepromotedwithinWirralacrosstraditionalprofessionaldemarcations.
