Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You’ll diagnose faults, perform urgent roadside repairs, and deliver confident, friendly service to members.

Based in the Harlow cluster and covering surrounding areas, you’ll start and finish from home while staying responsive to call-outs across the UK. The role blends hands-on work with strong customer support in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on in your local area.
• Provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.

Skills

2+ years' experience in Light Vehicle

5+ years' experience as Vehicle Tech

Full UK driving licence

Education
