Job description

This lovely family based in Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire, is seeking a Live-in Nanny-Housekeeper to maintain a clean and well‑organised home while caring for their newborn (due soon), one baby, and one toddler. Light cooking duties are required. The family follows Kosher dietary guidelines, meaning no pork or shellfish and no mixing dairy with meat. A valid first‑aid qualification is essential for this position.

Working Hours

20 hours over 3 days as a Housekeeper, 2 days with the client's daughter‑in‑law as a Nanny – to be confirmed.

Accommodation

Double bedroom with en‑suite bathroom in the property.

Duties

• Assisting with nappy changes and preparing bottles for infants.
• Bathing and maintaining proper hygiene for the children.
• Ensuring the safety, well‑being, and developmental support of the children.
• Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children.
• Keeping children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised, and tidy.
• Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities, and outdoor outings such as visits to the park.
• Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children.
• Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children’s structure and development.
• Ensuring the cleanliness and overall upkeep of a private residence.
• Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
• Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers.
• Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen area to a high standard.
• Washing, drying, and organising clothing and household linens.
• Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding.
• Making beds and replacing linens as needed.
• Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
