Overview
Brentwood Care Centre are looking for a Lifestyle-Activity Lead to join their friendly team to enhance the lived experience of our residents.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, promote and implement a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme based on relationship‑centred care principles.
- Motivate, inspire and mobilise team members to be involved in providing stimulating activities throughout all units.
- Deliver 80% of working time delivering vibrant activities to all residents, tailoring programmes for residential communities, dementia care and bed‑bound residents.
- Lead on the design, development and implementation of the home newsletter reporting on events and activities of interest.
- Ensure records relating to activities are accurate and up‑to‑date.
Experience
- Proven track record of organising, coordinating and motivating others.
- Experience organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities.
- Experience working and/or engaging with older people (both living with and without dementia).
- Experience delivering high quality relationship‑centred care.
Skills / Knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication and clinical skills.
- Proficient in core Microsoft Office applications.
- Passionate and keen to develop new skills.
- Strong listening skills.
- Data management for record keeping and review.
- Ability to organise efficiently, prioritise workloads and work under pressure.

Education / Qualifications (not essential)
NVQ HSC level 3 or QCF HSC award 3 (not essential).
