Overview

Brentwood Care Centre are looking for a Lifestyle-Activity Lead to join their friendly team to enhance the lived experience of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organise, promote and implement a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme based on relationship‑centred care principles.
  • Motivate, inspire and mobilise team members to be involved in providing stimulating activities throughout all units.
  • Deliver 80% of working time delivering vibrant activities to all residents, tailoring programmes for residential communities, dementia care and bed‑bound residents.
  • Lead on the design, development and implementation of the home newsletter reporting on events and activities of interest.
  • Ensure records relating to activities are accurate and up‑to‑date.
Experience
  • Proven track record of organising, coordinating and motivating others.
  • Experience organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities.
  • Experience working and/or engaging with older people (both living with and without dementia).
  • Experience delivering high quality relationship‑centred care.
Skills / Knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and clinical skills.
  • Proficient in core Microsoft Office applications.
  • Passionate and keen to develop new skills.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Data management for record keeping and review.
  • Ability to organise efficiently, prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
