Job summary

A UK-based consulting firm is seeking LGV Drivers with Loader Crane experience in Hampshire to drive and maintain glass collection vehicles. Applicants must possess a valid LGV Class C Licence, DIGI card, and have at least 12 months of class 2 experience. This role involves daily vehicle checks and overseeing glass collections. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and capable of working in varying weather conditions, as well as being able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate the glass collection vehicle as per schedule.

  • Complete all relevant records timely as requested by supervisor.
  • Clean the exterior and interior of the vehicle as needed.

Job description

Cradlefin Consultants are recruiting for LGV Drivers with Loader Crane to work in Hampshire covering Andover working Mondays to Fridays.

Job Responsibilities
  • To drive and operate the glass collection vehicle allocated for the day’s work to collect glass from Local Recycling Centres as per the schedule or as instructed
  • To oversee and take charge of glass collections to ensure that the daily schedule is completed within the working day
  • To carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects in accordance with current procedure to ensure that the glass waste collection vehicle is maintained and legal to be driven on the road
  • To complete all relevant records (paper based or digital) legibly and in a timely fashion, as requested by the supervisor
  • This includes the completion of the schedule sheets, drivers’ logbooks and defect reporting books. To also promptly report any Local Recycling Centre issues to the supervisor
  • To clean the exterior and interior of the vehicle when the need arises
