Job summary

Schenk UK, a leading UK tanker transporter, seeks experienced LGV Class 1 Drivers to join the waste operations team at Ripon site, nights, Monday to Friday. Enjoy a guaranteed 50 hours and earnings potential between £46,000 and £52,000 per year.

Operate vacuum tankers, follow Driver CPC and tachograph rules, and uphold safety standards. Training, PPE and overtime premiums enhance the package.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence with no more than 6 points.
• Driver CPC and valid tachograph card.
• Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience.
• Vacuum tanker experience preferred; training provided if required.
• Strong knowledge of driver transport legislation.
• Safety-first mindset and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Join the waste operations team on night shifts at Ripon.
• Operate vacuum tanker vehicles in compliance with regs.
• Maintain safety, logs and delivery schedules.
• Complete CPC training, courses and medicals as required.

Job description

Schenk UK is an innovative national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the UK. For over 60 years, we’ve proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, making us the UK’s largest chemical transporter.

We’re now seeking experienced LGV Class 1 Drivers to join our waste operations team at our Ripon site, working Monday to Friday Nights.

Potential Earnings of £46,000 to £52,000 per annum.

Pay & Benefits

• £16.45 per hour (basic rate)
• Guaranteed 50 hours
• Overtime (Mon-Fri): £24.68/hr after 9 hours per shift
• Saturday overtime: £24.68/hr after 3 hours worked
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £32.90/hr after 3 hours worked
• Weekend working is part of the shift pattern (reflected in pay rates)
• Bank Holiday working also required (premium pay reflects unsocial hours)
• Fully paid breaks
• All CPC training hours, courses, accreditations & driver medicals paid
• Full PPE provided
