Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking experienced LGV Class 1 drivers to join our waste operations team at Ripon, Monday to Friday nights. The role offers a stable shift pattern and time for safe driving.

You’ll receive a base rate of £16.45 per hour, with a guaranteed 50 hours and overtime premiums on weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. Full CPC training and PPE are provided. This is a permanent role with development opportunities and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence (max 6 points).
• Driver CPC and valid tachograph card.
• Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience.
• Vacuum tanker experience preferred (training provided if required).
• Strong knowledge of Driver Transport Legislation.
• Safety-focused mindset.

Schenk UK is an innovative national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the UK. For over 60 years, we’ve proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, making us the UK’s largest chemical transporter.

We’re now seeking experienced LGV Class 1 Drivers to join our waste operations team at our Ripon site, working Monday to Friday Nights.

Pay & Benefits

• £16.45 per hour (basic rate)
• Guaranteed 50 hours
• Overtime (Mon–Fri): £24.68/hr after 9 hours per shift
• Saturday overtime: £24.68/hr after 3 hours worked
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £32.90/hr after 3 hours worked
• Weekend working is part of the shift pattern (reflected in pay rates)
• Bank Holiday working also required (premium pay reflects unsocial hours)
• Fully paid breaks
• All CPC training hours, courses, accreditations & driver medicals paid
• Full PPE provided

What We’re Looking For

• LGV Class 1 licence (max 6 points)
