Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join the Gretna depot, covering Tuesday to Saturday days with nights out as required. The role emphasizes safety and regulatory compliance with ADR/CPC refreshers provided.

Essential requirements include a Class 1 licence (max six points), tachograph card, Driver CPC, valid ADR and tanker experience preferred. Overtime and paid breaks are part of the package.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points.
• Tachograph card.
• Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
• ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7.
• Strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation.
• Safety-focused mindset.
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience.
• Tanker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive tanker routes as a LGV Class 1 driver from Gretna depot.
• Work Tuesdays to Saturdays on day shifts; nights out required.

Job description

Schenk UK is an innovative, national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the country. For over 60 years, we've proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, becoming the UK's largest chemical transporter.

We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Gretna depot, working Tuesday to Saturday days, nights out will be required.

Pay Rates:

• £162.80 per day during your training period. Once you have completed your training you will revert to the below pay agreement.
• £14.80 per hour
• Overtime hours at £22.20 after 8 hours per shift Monday to Friday
• £41.54 per night out
• £22.20 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £29.60 per hour
• £29.60 per hour paid for Sunday/ bank holidays shifts
• £150 per day bank holiday payment
• 45 hours guarantee (9 hours per day)

• Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience
• Tanker Experience preferred.

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
