Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking experienced LGV Class 1 Drivers for our waste operations team at the Rotherham site, working Wednesday to Sunday Nights. The role offers a guaranteed 50 hours with enhanced overtime for evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Competitive rates from £14.80 per hour with premium pay for unsocial hours, plus CPC training, full PPE, and paid breaks. Right to Work checks apply and training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• LGV Class 1 licence (max 6 points)
• Driver CPC and tachograph card
• Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience
• Vacuum tanker experience preferred (training provided if required)
• Strong knowledge of Driver Transport Legislation

Job description

Schenk UK is an innovative national tanker haulage business operating one of the largest road tanker fleets in the UK. For over 60 years, we’ve proudly served the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors, making us the UK’s largest chemical transporter.

We’re now seeking experienced LGV Class 1 Drivers to join our waste operations team at our Rotherham site, working Wednesday to Sunday Nights.

Pay & Benefits

• £14.80 per hour (basic rate)
• Guaranteed 50 hours
• Overtime (Mon–Fri): £22.20/hr after 9 hours per shift
• Saturday overtime: £22.20/hr after 3 hours worked
• Sunday & Bank Holidays: £29.60/hr after 3 hours worked
• Weekend working is part of the shift pattern (reflected in pay rates)
• Bank Holiday working also required (premium pay reflects unsocial hours)
• Fully paid breaks
• All CPC training hours, courses, accreditations & driver medicals paid
• Full PPE provided

What We’re Looking For

• LGV Class 1 licence (max 6 points)
• Driver CPC and valid tachograph card
• Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 experience
• Vacuum tanker experience preferred (training provided if required)
• Strong knowledge of Driver Transport Legislation
• Safety-focused mindset
