Job summary

Schenk UK is seeking an experienced Class 1 LGV driver for a Harwich-based role, operating Monday to Friday days. The position includes fully paid breaks, ADR/CPC refreshers, and full PPE, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Applicants must have a Class 1 license (no more than six points), a tachograph card, Driver CPC, and tanker experience. PDP is advantageous. Right-to-work checks and screening apply before start.

Qualifications

• Safety focus and compliance with Driver Transport Legislation.
• Class 1 LGV driving experience required.
• Minimum 2 years Class 1 and tanker experience required.
• ADR licence for all classes except 1 & 7 is essential.
• PDP (Petroleum Driver Passport) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate LGV Class 1 vehicles on a Monday–Friday days pattern.
• Maintain compliance with ADR/CPC regulations and safety procedures.
• Support efficient tanker operations at Harwich site.

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Class 1 LGV to join our team based a Harwich, working a Monday to Friday Days pattern.

Pay Rates:

• 45 hours guarantee per week

• £18.67 per hour with 10 hour guarantee per shift – This rate is inclusive of Southern Weighting

• £1.68 per hour for all night shift hours worked

• £28.01 per hour overtime - applicable after 10 hours worked Monday-Friday and first 5 hours on Saturday

• £37.34 per hour overtime for Saturdays after 5 hours worked

• £37.34 per hour overtime for Sundays and bank holidays

• £37.44 Night out allowance

FULLY PAID BREAKSand paid ADR & CPC Refreshers

Essential Requirements:

• An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points

• A tachograph card

• A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)

• A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7

• A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation

• A safety focus

• Minimum 2years Class 1 experience

• At least 2 years Tanker Experience

• A valid PDP (Petroleum Driver Passport)

The Package:

In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
