Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring a Qualified Nursery Practitioner in Newton Abbot. You will support children's learning, plan play-based activities, and build strong relationships with families in a warm, inclusive setting.

Applicants must hold Level 2/3 EY qualification or QTS. The role offers 40 hours per week with a salary of £27,539 per annum, based on experience, plus great staff benefits and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS.
• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and children's development.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued.
• Plan and support engaging, play-based activities aligned with EYFS.
• Observe development and record progress to support next steps.
• Build strong relationships with families and share updates.
• Support daily routines including meals, personal care, and rest.
• Uphold safeguarding, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Collaborate with colleagues, apprentices and volunteers, offering guidance.
