Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group in Bishopthorpe is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team. You’ll plan and deliver play-based activities, support children’s development, and help create a safe, stimulating environment.

Qualifications

• To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for children.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children’s development milestones and share updates with parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety and care.
• Guide apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
