Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring a Qualified Nursery Practitioner at our Uxbridge location. You’ll support children through play, care and connection, getting to know their interests and celebrating progress with families and colleagues.

You’ll hold a Level 2/3 EY qualification (or QTS) and bring knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and reflective practice. The role includes 40-hour weeks, with generous benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS.
• Understanding of the EYFS and how children learn through play and daily experiences.
• A caring, attentive approach that recognises each child’s individuality.
• Creativity and curiosity, with a willingness to follow children’s interests.
• Confidence building positive relationships with families and colleagues; safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued.
• Plan engaging, play-based experiences aligned with EYFS and children’s interests.
• Observe development, record progress, and support next steps.
• Build relationships with families and share updates.
• Support daily routines, meals, personal care and rest with patience.
• Maintain safeguarding, hygiene, and wellbeing as a core focus.
