Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group in Stratford-upon-Avon is hiring a Qualified Nursery Practitioner. You will support children through play and care, observe progress, and build strong relationships with families while maintaining high safeguarding standards.

Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or QTS). 38 hours per week, Monday–Friday, pay £13.06–£13.24 per hour, with childcare benefits and opportunities for training and development.

• Understanding of the EYFS and how children learn through play and everyday experiences.
• Commitment to safeguarding and maintaining high standards of care.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued, and free to be themselves.
• Plan and support engaging, play-based experiences aligned with the EYFS and children’s interests.
• Observe children’s development and record progress to support next steps.
• Build strong relationships with families and share updates on development.
• Support daily routines including meals, personal care, and rest with patience.
• Maintain safeguarding, safety, hygiene and wellbeing as a core priority.
• Collaborate with colleagues, share ideas, and support apprentices and volunteers.
