Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is hiring a Qualified Nursery Practitioner in Newton Abbot. You will support children in a warm, nurturing environment, plan play-based activities, and record developmental progress in line with EYFS.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe and thrive.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
• Monitor and celebrate children's development milestones, keeping records for parents.
• Support the day-to-day running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety and care.
• Be a team player, guiding apprentices and volunteers while learning from others.
