Job summary

The Old Station Nursery Group is seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner in Fareham. You will help children grow through play, nurture curiosity, and support development in an Outstanding Ofsted setting.

Applicants must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification or QTS, and bring warmth, patience, and a collaborative spirit. You’ll work 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, with a welcome bonus and childcare support benefits.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive environment where children feel safe and valued.
• Plan and support engaging, play-based experiences aligned with EYFS and children's interests.
• Observe development, record progress, and inform next steps.
• Build trusting relationships with families and share updates.
• Support daily routines with patience and attention to each child.
• Safeguarding and wellbeing at the heart of practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues, apprentices, and volunteers while learning.
