Discipline: Occupational Hygiene Consultant

Our client is a reputable and diverse environmental company, who provides services to a nationwide client base. They are currently looking for an experienced and committed LEV Engineer based in and around the Darlington area. The ideal applicant will hold the P601 LEV testing certificate and will be experienced in carrying out local exhaust ventilation and air monitoring duties on a variety of site types. Applications from Northallerton, Barnard Castle, Durham, Middlesbrough and surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Hold the P601 certificate.
  • Have hands on experience in carrying out L.E.V testing on a varied site base.
  • Come from a strong technical, consultancy, Health & Safety, water and chemical background.
  • Hold the general Health and Safety certificate (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
Role
  • The work will involve undertaking local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination and testing and indoor air quality.
  • Testing emissions, reviewing and approving assessments.
  • Collating and producing technical reports.
  • Visiting sites designated by the client and dealing with issues effectively.
  • Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
  • Presentations to staff, company and contractors regarding occupational hygiene.
  • Building and maintaining a good rapport with clients.
