Our client has a large nationwide infrastructure and specialises in water, asbestos and other environmental disciplines. Due to the continuing success of the business they are currently looking for an experienced and competent Legionella Risk Assessor based in the Glasgow area. The ideal candidate will come from a strong water background with extensive experience carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines. Applications from Hamilton, Falkirk, Paisley and the surrounding areas will be taken into consideration.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience working in this role within the water treatment/water hygiene industry.
• Attended an approved Risk Assessment course – City & Guilds, WMS or internal training courses.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office package.
• Good working knowledge of commercial and industrial water systems, supplies and water regulations governing these.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8.
• Compile schematic drawings and produce final documents for clients.
• Provide recommendations and prices for remedial works and routine control measures, and where required, carry out such works based on the risk assessments.
• Perform monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
• Survey water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
• Write accurate reports and attend meetings with clients to discuss findings.
• Build and maintain a good relationship with clients.
