A leading law firm in the UK is seeking a Legal Support Assistant to join their Family team in Preston. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive PA and administrative support, assisting fee earners in maximizing their potential and developing their practice. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for clients and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage matter files and prepare court bundles.
  • Oversee monthly billing and diary management tasks.
  • Perform audio typing and transcription as required.
  • Maintain administrative systems and procedures.

We have a brilliant opportunity for an organised individual to join our Family team!

The Legal Support Assistant will be responsible for providing a comprehensive, proactive PA and administrative support service, showing initiative and working unprompted, enabling fee earners to maximise their fee earning potential and develop their practice.

What we need from you
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Experience of working within a Family team – desirable.
What you'll be doing
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients (new and existing) and internal and external contacts.
  • Matter management, to include file opening/client inception.
  • Preparing court bundles.
  • Manage accurate monthly delivery of volume bills.
  • Diary management, including making appointments and bookings, diarising hearings and deadlines.
  • Audio typing/transcription of dictation and documents where required by the fee earners.
  • Allocating post.
  • Submitting expense claims.
  • Providing prompts and reminders for fee earners’ important tasks and deadlines.
  • Assisting with the preparation of standard form correspondence.
  • Implementing and maintaining administrative systems and procedures.
