  • Order and monitor standard conveyancing searches.
  • Open, update and close files; manage archiving procedures.
  • Audio type and track change documents such as contracts.
  • Transfer deeds, correspondence, and completion statements.
  • Assist with post-exchange tasks including SDLT returns.

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a leading firm in Belfast City Centre with the recruitment of a Legal Secretary.

The role will be performed in Belfast City Centre.

It is preferred if the successful candidate works part-time hours.

Successful Candidate will work within Conveyancing.

Permanent position

Salary

Fully Negotiable - highly competitive rate of pay (Negotiable) + Great benefits & Flexibility

Responsibilities
  • Order and monitor standard conveyancing searches.
  • Open, update and close files; manage archiving and retrieval procedures
  • Audio type and track change documents such as contracts, leases etc.
  • Transfer deeds, correspondence, and completion statements.
  • Send title documents and Land Registry submissions.
  • Assist with post-exchange tasks including SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, and completion arrangements.
  • Serve as key point of contact by liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders.
The Ideal Person
  • Previous experience in conveyancing support or legal secretarial work
  • Proficiency with Audio typing, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management system. Ideally LEAP case management system.
  • Excellent level of English.
