  • Monitor compliance with SRA Standards, AML, GDPR, and financial crime prevention laws.
  • Lead investigation and resolution of client complaints.
  • Manage processes relating to professional negligence claims.
  • Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews.
  • Deliver training and guidance on compliance to staff.
  • Maintain compliance registers and support risk mitigation strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Board and regulatory bodies.

Legal Compliance Manager — Location: Leicestershire; Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience.

Are you a proactive Compliance Manager looking to oversee and manage all aspects of regulatory compliance.

About the Role

As Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the firm meets its obligations under the SRA Standards and Regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) legislation, data protection (GDPR), and other relevant frameworks. You will also lead the handling and resolution of client complaints, supporting a culture of compliance and risk awareness firm-wide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain firm-wide compliance policies and procedures
  • Monitor compliance with SRA Standards, AML, GDPR, and financial crime prevention laws
  • Lead investigation and resolution of client complaints in line with requirements
  • Manage processes relating to professional negligence claims and liaise with insurers
  • Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews
  • Deliver training and guidance on compliance to staff at all levels
  • Maintain compliance registers and support risk mitigation strategies
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Board and regulatory bodies
  • Assist with professional indemnity insurance renewals and risk assessments
