About the Role
We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing & Social Care programme in partnership with Oxford Brookes University (OBU). The role is based in Leeds and requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess student work to ensure all learning outcomes are met.
- Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate.
- Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
- Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.
- Work towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
- Have previous UK higher education lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
- Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Track accurate reporting and maintain thorough, organised student records.
- Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
- Be able to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
- Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commit to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years) or fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
- Have experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.

Position Details
Location: Leeds – on site.
Salary: £51,000 per year.
Contract: Full‑time, permanent (40 hours per week). Sponsorship is not offered.
