About the Role

We are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Health, Wellbeing & Social Care programme in partnership with Oxford Brookes University (OBU). The role is based in Leeds and requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess student work to ensure all learning outcomes are met.
  • Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate.
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
  • Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Work towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
  • Have previous UK higher education lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
  • Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Track accurate reporting and maintain thorough, organised student records.
  • Be able to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Be able to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
  • Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commit to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years) or fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
  • Have experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.

Position Details

Location: Leeds – on site.

Salary: £51,000 per year.

Contract: Full‑time, permanent (40 hours per week). Sponsorship is not offered.
