An educational recruitment agency is seeking a dedicated Learning Support & Intervention Practitioner to support vulnerable learners in Colchester. This hybrid role combines responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant and a Tutor, helping students overcome barriers to learning. Responsibilities include delivering individualized education programs and working closely with teaching staff. The ideal candidate has experience in secondary education, a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, and excellent behaviour management skills. Axcis are working with a setting looking to appoint a dedicated and passionate Learning Support & Intervention Practitioner to join their team. This hybrid role is designed to meet the evolving needs of the students and school, combining the support-based responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant with the instructional duties of a Tutor. You will work with some of their most vulnerable learners, delivering high-quality education and holistic support both 1:1 and in small groups, on and off-site. You will play a vital role in the development of the alternative provision offer, helping every student reach their potential academically, socially and emotionally, regardless of their starting point.
Hours: Mon‑Thurs 8:30‑4:30, Fri 8:30‑4:00 (37 hours). Location: Colchester, CO2. Start date: January 2026.
