Job summary

TeacherActive seeks an experienced Learning Support Assistant in Hereford to provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs. The role involves assisting with both individual and classroom activities, ensuring pupils stay engaged and receive tailored assistance under the guidance of teaching staff.

This full-time, long-term position offers immediate start in a SEND setting, with a focus on Autism/ASD, ADHD and MLD.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD and/or MLD.
• Confidence supporting a range of learning and behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to follow individual support strategies consistently.
• A patient, resilient and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and classroom support to pupils.
