Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a patient Learning Support Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Kidderminster with an Autism Resource Base. The role is temporary, day-to-day, starting September 2026, supporting children with Autism/ASD, ADHD and MLD.

You will work within the Autism Resource Base to adapt activities, support learning and behaviour, and help pupils develop confidence and independence. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with a warm, nurturing approach.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism/ASD, ADHD and MLD.
• Experience in a mainstream school with pupils needing extra support.
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach to learning and behaviour.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £90 - £110 per day

We are looking for a patient and adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Kidderminster that has a dedicated Autism Resource Base. The role is temporary, day‑to‑day, from September 2026, supporting children with Autism / ASD, ADHD and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

Responsibilities

• Work within the Autism Resource Base to support pupils with Autism, ASD, ADHD and MLD.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and encourage pupils who may find learning in a mainstream setting challenging.
• Assist with the development of confidence, independence and achievement of personal goals.
• Provide support for learning and behaviour in a calm, patient and nurturing manner.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD, ADHD and MLD.
• Experience working within a mainstream school environment with pupils requiring additional support.
