Learning Support Assistant – Primary | Secondary | SEN School

We have schools in the Redhill area that are urgently seeking highly motivated and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSA) for a rewarding temporary-to-permanent position at a specialist school. This role is specifically designed for supporting secondary school age groups with complex needs (including autism and physical disabilities). It offers excellent training and support for professionals passionate about Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role : Specialist SEN Support

• Setting: Specialist school focused on complex needs education for young adults.
• Focus: Providing direct learning and behavioural support alongside experienced teaching staff.
• Key Needs: Commitment to supporting students with complex needs, autism, and physical disabilities. Experience with challenging behaviour is beneficial.
• Hours: Full-time or Part-time
• Path to Permanent: Successful completion of a 12-week temporary period leads directly to a permanent contract.

Essential Candidate Requirements

To ensure success and rapid placement, candidates must meet the following criteria :

• DBS Status: Hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Check (Child and Adult).
• Availability: Must be able to commit to full-time hours or part-time hours. Immediately available candidates preferred.
• Teamwork: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to integrate effectively into a specialist team.
• Transport: A driving license is highly recommended due to the school’s location and public transport constraints.
• Commitment: Genuine passion for and commitment to working with young adults with SEN and complex needs.
