Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking experienced Educational Support Workers to support young people with High Needs in Sheffield. This role involves facilitating education, ensuring learner safety, and promoting a positive learning environment. Candidates should have 3 years of experience working with young people in education and an Enhanced DBS certification. The position is full-time with hours from 8am to 4pm, offering a starting pay of £12.60 per hour and weekly pay through the agency.

Qualifications

IMH Recruitment are seeking experienced Educational Support Workers to provide support to young people with High Needs by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation for our client in Sheffield.

Responsibilities
  • To facilitate the delivery of education programmes to small groups and individuals under the direction of tutors/ managers.
  • To ensure that learners are kept safe at all times.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that work undertaken within service area is conducted in line with statutory regulations and within Service Area, Directorate and wider Council guidance and best practice.
  • Provide tailored support to young people with high needs.
  • Work with small groups and individual learners to reinforce learning activities.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports learner confidence, independence, and progression.
  • Collaborate effectively with tutors, managers, and external professionals to contribute to learner support plans and reviews.
Hours & Pay
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am- 4pm
  • Starting at 12.60 per hour (increases after probation)
  • Weekly pay whilst through agency!
