An innovative educational institution in the United Kingdom is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to pupils in a busy Academy environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, both individually and in groups, to enhance their learning experiences. This role requires a commitment to safeguarding and ensuring all pupils reach their potential. A supportive and inclusive environment awaits at this academy, which utilizes technology to foster learning and creativity.
The successful candidate will work as part of an established team in a very busy Academy environment and will be the welcoming face of the Pupils. This key individual will play a crucial role in the day-to-day life of the Academy.
The Learning Support Assistant works directly with pupils, providing one-to-one or group support to pupils of all abilities, including those who are gifted and talented as well as those who demonstrate difficulties in accessing the curriculum. This includes planned sessions as well as responding to situations as they arise.
Implementing School's policies and procedures with regard to learning, attendance and behaviour. Working directly with pupils, including those with poor or challenging behaviour, working with appropriate agencies to provide support.
Have ability to deal with students 1-1 or in small groups, and in-class support as well as off-site situations.
Responding to situations and planned provision, intervention based on needs of the pupil, developing literacy strategies with pupils. Contribute to Academy target setting, tracking and monitoring pupil's behaviour and attitude to learn working with others.
Ensuring Health and Safety is followed. Provide coaching and mentoring to pupils to support.
