Learning Support Assistant - ASD School - Croydon

Location : Croydon, South London

Hours : 08:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday to Friday, full time)

Career Teachers is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant for a vibrant and inclusive ASD school based in Croydon, starting this January. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with autism to thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.

The school is known for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and a strong commitment to personalised learning. It provides specialist support tailored to each pupil's unique needs, focusing on developing communication, social skills, and independence in a safe and supportive setting.

The school caters to pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), many of whom have additional needs including speech, language, and communication difficulties. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a positive and engaging learning experience for all students.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with experience in SEN, speech and language support, or a background in care. Patience, consistency, and creativity are key qualities for this role.
