About the Role

Are you comfortable working across a wide range of learning methods, including digital solutions? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you here at EDF as a Learning Designer!

Opportunity

We're looking for Learning Designers who can partner closely with the business to support the delivery of strategic goals through impactful learning experiences. As a business, we’ve made significant investments in our Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital communication tools.

As a Learning Designer, you will play a key role in repurposing existing content to be clear, engaging, and cost‑effective, ensuring it meets the needs of the modern learner. Working closely alongside the wider People Development team, you’ll use data and insights coupled with learning best practice to tailor learning strategies to individual business units and employees. As a visible and proactive member of the People Development team, you’ll help raise the profile of learning across the organisation and be a go‑to point of contact for learning opportunities on a day‑to‑day basis.

What you’ll be doing
  • Take a consultancy‑led approach with business units to identify and analyse learning needs, using data and insights wherever possible.
  • Apply a variety of learning design methodologies to deliver effective and timely learning solutions.
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of learning interventions to ensure they deliver meaningful results.
  • Develop and maintain learner personas to shape what learning looks like across EDF Energy and its various business units.
  • Utilise the most appropriate and cost‑effective tools to maximise learning impact.
  • Lead and support learning engagement initiatives – such as webinars and internal presentations – to raise awareness of learning resources and support organisational goals.
  • Analyse data from multiple sources to identify employee pain points and learning opportunities.
Who you are
  • A proven track record in designing and building impactful learning content and experience delivering results across various project management methodologies.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong client‑facing experience and the ability to establish credibility with senior stakeholders, influencing and challenging at all levels when required.
  • Resourceful and able to find great content across a range of platforms (e.g., leadership material on YouTube, thought‑leadership blogs).
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to draw insight from both data and conversation, then translate this into practical, tailored learning interventions.
  • Curiosity and an appetite to learn – taking the time to understand each business area, its priorities, environment, people and culture.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to manage multiple deliverables for a variety of stakeholders, while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commercial awareness and a focus on cost‑effectiveness, with a mindset geared toward continuous improvement and enhancing programmes.
Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a salary negotiable depending on experience, you’ll enjoy a market‑leading pension scheme and customisable benefits including electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers and more. At EDF, we believe success has many definitions. That’s why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that is unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it’s your journey, powered by us.
