Job description

Talent, Learning & Organisational Development Partner

Salary: £42,388

Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: Full-time

Location: Hybrid/Wiltshire

Love creating learning that actually changes something?

We're partnering with a large, purpose-led organisation to recruit a Talent, Learning & Organisational Development Partner for an exciting 12-month fixed-term opportunity.

This isn't a role that's simply about delivering training.

It's an opportunity to design, develop and implement learning, leadership and organisational development initiatives that support real business needs, strengthen leadership capability and help create lasting behavioural change.

We're looking for someone enthusiastic, creative and proactive with a genuine 'can do' approach, someone who enjoys getting under the skin of what a team or organisation needs and turning that into engaging, practical people solutions.

If you enjoy the mix of L&D, OD, facilitation, coaching, stakeholder partnering and project work, there's plenty here to get stuck into.

What will you be doing?

Working within an established Talent, Learning and OD function, you'll partner with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation to identify needs and develop solutions that support both people and organisational performance.

The role will include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging Learning & OD interventions aligned with business needs and organisational change.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to identify learning needs, challenges and emerging trends.
  • Designing and delivering leadership development interventions and programmes.
  • Facilitating engaging workshops, development programmes and events for different audiences.
  • Delivering blended learning through both face-to-face and virtual environments.
  • Coaching colleagues and supporting the development of leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Creating development initiatives that support high-performing individuals and teams.
  • Supporting the people and learning elements of wider change and transformation programmes.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of learning and OD activity and ensuring learning translates into meaningful behavioural change.
  • Managing projects and initiatives from initial idea and design through to implementation and evaluation.
  • Bringing fresh ideas to the table and identifying opportunities to continuously improve the learning experience.
What are we looking for?

We're interested in speaking with experienced L&D, Talent or Organisational Development professionals who can demonstrate:

  • Proven experience designing, delivering and implementing learning, leadership and organisational development interventions.
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders to identify business needs and create impactful people solutions.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience delivering learning programmes, workshops and events to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience coaching and influencing colleagues, including senior leaders.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust at all levels.
  • Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and embedding behavioural change.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A creative, adaptable and forward-thinking approach.
  • A genuine passion for learning, development and continuous improvement.

Experience within change or transformation environments would be particularly useful.

Exposure to early careers programmes or diagnostic tools such as DISC, SDI, Strengthscope or Myers-Briggs would also be beneficial, although these aren't essential.

A relevant Level 5 CIPD or Learning & Development qualification is desirable rather than essential.

What's in it for you?

This is a great opportunity to join a values-led organisation with a strong social purpose, working within an established People and Talent function where learning and development plays an important role in wider organisational transformation.

You'll have the freedom to be creative, build strong relationships and work across a varied portfolio of leadership, learning and OD projects, with the opportunity to see the impact of the work you deliver.
