Job summary

AECOM’s Town Planning team in the UK is growing, offering a Principal Town Planner role across a range of major infrastructure projects, including energy, transport and regional developments. The role supports hybrid working and multiple base locations, with a path to lead complex planning applications and client relationships.

You will join a national team, coordinating with Environmental Impact Assessment colleagues, stakeholders and clients to secure planning consent and deliver outstanding

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Membership of the RTPI or an equivalent professional body.
• Significant experience leading planning applications for large infrastructure projects across a range of consenting regimes.
• Experience working with Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in the delivery of major development applications for infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across project types and manage planning submissions with authorities.
• Provide planning advice on consent requirements and develop feasibility and consent strategies.
• Develop client relationships and contribute to business development and tender preparation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure quality and health and safety adherence in project delivery.
