A leading visitor attraction company in Scotland is looking for a Technical Manager to oversee all technical operations within a high-energy environment. This hands-on leadership role requires managing a maintenance team and ensuring safety, functionality, and quality of various systems including rides and special effects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in facilities management, expertise in hydraulic and mechanical systems, and a proactive mindset for problem-solving. This permanent full-time role involves compliance with strict health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in facilities management.
• Previous people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems and mechanical engineering.
• Experience with fault diagnosis across electrical and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with animatronics and A/V systems.
• Solid understanding of PPM systems and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technical operations across the attraction.
• Lead a small maintenance team to ensure high performance.
• Oversee PPM schedules, safety checks, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Support special effects, animatronics, and A/V systems.
• Deliver ride upgrades and refurbishments on time and budget.
• Ensure all systems meet health and safety standards.
